Contacts & lists
One contact database per tenant, lists with consent, double opt-in, suppression and the consent ledger.
Every address lives once per tenant. Lists are distribution lists with a consent setting; a contact can be on many. Status says what you may do: confirmed (mailable), pending (waiting for double opt-in), prospect (analyse only, never newsletter), unsubscribed, bounced, complained.
Step by step
- 1ImportCSV, Excel or paste. Pick the target list and the legal basis. The importer fixes typo domains, checks MX records, scores quality, skips duplicates and anything on the suppression list, and never keeps the original file.
- 2Legal basisDouble opt-in required (recommended when unsure), existing opt-in provable, customers (existing business relationship), prospect pool (purchased or researched: analysis and ads only).
- 3ListsCreate a list with or without double opt-in. The form code embeds a signup form on any site; submissions go straight into the list.
- 4ExportCSV export of the current filter for admins. Unsubscribed and bounced contacts are never counted and never exported for sending.
- 5SuppressionUnsubscribes, complaints, hard bounces and migrated opt-outs go onto the suppression list automatically; nothing on it is ever mailed again.
Watch out
- Prospects cannot receive newsletters. Convert them through re-permission campaigns on your own domain portal, lead magnets or allowed ad audiences.
- Quality below 30 (disposable, no MX, malformed) is skipped at import to protect sender reputation.
